In recent years, excessive exposure to ultraviolet (UV) rays has been pointed out as a health concern, increasing the risk of skin cancer and cataracts, among other issues. Against this backdrop, the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the World Health Organization (WHO), the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP), and the German Federal Office for Radiation Protection (GEORP) have developed the UV Index. To prevent skin and other health damage caused by strong UV rays in children and adults, we recommend using the UV intensity meter MI1UV-65N. For more detailed information on harmful UV rays, please refer to the Ministry of the Environment's "UV Health Guidance Manual."
