basic information
The revised RoHS directive (RoHS2) aims to protect human health and the environment by prohibiting the presence of six substances—cadmium, hexavalent chromium, lead, mercury, PBB (polybrominated biphenyls), and PBDE (polybrominated diphenyl ethers)—as well as four phthalate substances (DEHP, BBP, DBP, DIBP) above legally defined thresholds in electrical and electronic products marketed in the EU. The restricted substances under the RoHS directive were limited to six until July 21, 2019, after which four phthalate substances were added, bringing the total to ten regulated substances. Tochigiya has set January 22, 2018, as the date from which it will prohibit acceptance, and is implementing measures to comply with the revised RoHS directive (RoHS2) concerning the ten substances.
