For the past few decades, Saes has developed cutting-edge encapsulation technology for straight, round, and compact fluorescent lamps. Saes' dispenser, which encapsulates mercury within the lamp, uses a unique titanium-mercury alloy with high stability and reliability, differing from conventional methods. This approach allows for the precise and reproducible addition of extremely small amounts of mercury, minimizing the risk of contamination. Additionally, it reduces the need for maintenance of manufacturing equipment and maximizes the performance of the lamps. The dispenser is made using a special Ti-Hg compound.

Depending on the application, the injection of metal vapor or steam is essential to maintain and improve the performance of the equipment. The Saes Group has developed and commercialized a series of dispensers tailored to the various applications of our customers, taking into account the constraints of the manufacturing process and equipment. (Saes dispensers do not release steam during the manufacturing process, allowing for stable conditions to be maintained.) These are supplied in stable materials and in various shapes, including: • Strip • TQS • ROOF The dispensers mounted inside the lamp show high resistance to lamp processing processes that reach 500°C and release mercury by being activated with high-frequency heating (from 850°C to 900°C).
