■Achieving High Precision The M396S-150N/M396S-160N is a high-precision tristimulus colorimeter that features three newly equipped sensors with sensitivities that match the standard spectral response (CIE 1931 color matching functions) corresponding to human eye sensitivity. * In the CIE 1931 color matching functions, the peak of the spectral response for X-bar (λ) exists not only in the long-wavelength region (X-bar2(λ)) but also in the short-wavelength region (X-bar1(λ)). However, conventional colorimeter sensors lack sensitivity in the X-bar1(λ) region, leading to calculations of X-bar1(λ) based on Z-bar(λ). In contrast, the sensors of the M396S-150N/M396S-160N have sensitivity in the X-bar1(λ) region, enabling measurements that are closer to the ideal sensitivity of the human eye.
