In hydrophobic filter validation, only post-use integrity testing is specified, and decisions regarding the duration of use and other conditions are to be made by the user side. Generally, many cases incorporate methods to regularly confirm integrity during the usage period, such as Water Intrusion Testing (WI testing), with testing frequencies typically ranging from every few weeks to once a month. Additionally, it is common to conduct these tests only on the vent filters located on the secondary side of the liquid filtration filters. Under the current method, if an integrity test fails, it is inevitable to struggle with the sterility assurance of products manufactured during that time.
