basic information
With a history of 120 years, in 1887, Joe Binks, who was working as a maintenance supervisor at Marshall Field's department store in Chicago, developed the first paint machine to coat the store's vast semi-basement with plaster. Originally known as Suter Brass Works, Binks' company officially changed its name to Binks in 1911 and introduced spray guns in the early 1920s. At that time, painting cars took 27 to 30 days, but Binks' finishing equipment reduced this period to just 8 days. Since then, starting in 1934, Binks has achieved global development. Even now, more than 120 years after Joe Binks pioneered spray finishing, Binks' spray finishing equipment is active in various industrial fields around the world.
