MC-Media pad (Sanita-kun) is a multifunctional, pre-adjusted culture medium that features a thin non-woven fabric adhered to a culture film arranged on a sheet. It allows for microbiological testing equivalent to standard methods for food ingredients, swabs, and fallen bacteria, enabling easy initiation without prior preparation of the culture medium. The non-woven fabric quickly and uniformly disperses bacteria/samples, making sample application easy and enhancing quantitative performance. Additionally, up to 30 sheets can be stacked for cultivation, and being sheet-shaped reduces storage and disposal space. The cultivation equipment is also compact, significantly contributing to the reduction of indirect costs aside from labor. The shelf life is long, ranging from 1 to 3 years after manufacture, and by pre-dropping saline solution onto the sheet, convenient high-performance culture media can also perform stamp tests (including on curved surfaces).
