basic information
The measuring spark plug model 6113C... offers various heat ratings, spark positions, and shapes. Electrical connections are made via SAE or CUP cable connector nuts. Ceramic insulators are available in diameters of 7.7 mm, 9 mm, or 10.5 mm. By slightly offsetting the electrode by 1.6 mm, space is created for incorporating a sensor. The sensor is inserted from the underside of the plug and secured with a small hole screw that also provides flame protection.

Applications/Examples of results
The measurement of in-cylinder pressure using a spark plug is utilized when one wants to avoid creating a separate hole for measurement. The effort required for the installation of the spark plug is minimal. Because it is a flush mount, the signal has high quality without gas column vibrations. Typical applications include vehicle testing in cases where it is difficult to create measurement holes in the engine, allowing measurements to be taken within the vehicle.
