We would like to introduce the benefits of the device "ROLIS," which transfers and captures images of cylindrical surfaces using a 2D imaging sensor (CCD camera). It has made it possible to capture the unfolded images of cylindrical surfaces, which were previously considered difficult with conventional 2D cameras. Additionally, by using our unique image processing system, we can automatically detect processing defects such as casting defects, scratches, dents, and residual foreign objects that occur on the cylindrical surface based on the unfolded image data obtained through transfer imaging. The Inspection Equipment Division designs and manufactures various inspection machines, including the "Cylindrical Surface Imaging Inspection Device ROLIS," which inspects processing defects such as casting defects, dents, and vibrations occurring on cam grinding surfaces and journals. Additionally, we develop and sell in-house the aluminum frames, which are mechanical components, and the control software, which serves as the brain of the machines. By maximizing the benefits of in-house production of these fundamental components, we also design and manufacture inline inspection machines and automation equipment, such as ultra-high-resolution image processing devices and seatbelt inspection machines, receiving high praise from our customers.
