22nd VISION AWARD 1st Place Winner! Lighting technology for machine vision image processing applications.
The "VISA Variable Irradiation Solid Angle Lighting (R)" is an inspection lighting system that allows for uniform settings of brightness, illuminance, irradiation optical axis, and irradiation solid angle (irradiation angle range). It can capture 3D information from metallic and glossy surfaces in a single shot, which was previously difficult. It can stably detect challenging features such as defects on rough surfaces. Additionally, it can direct the irradiation light only to the necessary areas, allowing for flexible inspection of complex targets like connectors. 【Features】 ■ The lighting conditions for each point on the subject surface can be uniformly set within the field of view, independent of the distance to the subject. ■ The shape of the irradiation solid angle for each point can be uniformly set to any desired shape (bright field/dark field). ■ A ring-shaped or radial RGB multilayer structure can be formed for each point under the same conditions, allowing for uniform irradiation. ■ The shape of the irradiation range can be arbitrarily set to match the shape of the subject. *For more details, please download the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Even experts in machine vision recognize the importance of lighting, but many believe that simply providing uniform illumination will suffice. Most lack knowledge of lighting technology based on the properties of light and have relied on brightness and experience to address issues. This has been the primary reason for the limited expansion of the machine vision system market. In response, a new lighting technology specifically designed for machine vision image systems has been developed. This technology is based on the properties of light and has been introduced in seven published books and by public institutions as "lighting technology as a visual function," or machine vision lighting. This lighting technology won the first place in the VISION Award for lighting technology at VISION 2016, the world's largest image-related exhibition held in Germany, marking it as the first of its kind globally. This achievement highlights the lack of sound lighting technology based on theory that has existed until now. Our company is the world's first to focus on the design and manufacturing of lighting for machine vision applications, as well as consultation on imaging technology.
