Molds that require ultra-high precision are finished to a mirror surface by hand, while achieving high quality through dimensional adjustments at the micron level.
Wrapping refers to the process of polishing metal to smooth its surface. In mechanical finishing, a clay-like abrasive material mixed with diamond particles is placed into the target hole, and the abrasive is polished inside the hole by using hydraulic piston motion. The processing size is approximately up to φ100*100L, but it is also possible to polish eccentric holes, angular holes, and other irregularly shaped holes. Moreover, the hand finishing wrapping at Tokiwa Seiko is not just about polishing. In molds that require ultra-high precision, mechanical processing alone cannot meet the required accuracy. The final adjustments are made through mechanical processing, followed by the wrapping process, which not only finishes to a mirror surface but also allows for dimensional adjustments at the micron level. This is a very important and specialized process that achieves levels unattainable by mechanical processing and is one of the key technologies that Tokiwa Seiko takes pride in. *For more details, please refer to the PDF or feel free to contact us.

Since our founding in 1937, we have adapted our business to the times, starting production of molds around 1955, primarily manufacturing powder metallurgy molds and precision press molds. Currently, leveraging the know-how gained from mold production, we have expanded our field into the area of ultra-precision component processing, receiving high praise from various sectors. Moving forward, all of our employees will continue to strive for improvement, aiming to be a company that contributes to society through manufacturing that looks toward the future.
