Introducing the possibilities of electroforming, from MEMS components to medical parts!
At GDLAB/Research Institute of Electroforming and Surface Modification Technology, we manufacture semiconductor and electronic components, contacts and contactors, mechanical parts, filters, optical circuits, pipes, springs, etc., using MEMS-related technology. As examples of prototypes, we have the "MEMS Micro Connector," which is created by master modeling through light shaping and making a replica with silicone rubber, and the "MEMS Micro Nozzle," which utilizes resist and electroforming technology for molding. Additionally, there is potential for application in medical components, where it is expected to serve as an alternative manufacturing method for opaque markers previously produced using large-diameter pipes made from platinum and tantalum through drawing processes.
