As material hardness and added value continue to increase, the company aims to capture high-precision machining needs targeting the aerospace industry in the Chubu region. Water jet processing is a machining technology that uses the energy of ultra-high-pressure water ejected from a small-diameter nozzle, pressurized by a high-pressure pump, to cut objects into desired shapes. Since tools like drills and cutters do not come into contact with the workpiece, there is no heat generation, preventing alteration or discoloration, and minimizing distortion and warping. Additionally, it can cut almost all types of metals and steel, demonstrating its effectiveness in machining difficult materials commonly used in aircraft, such as nickel-based and titanium alloys, as well as thick stainless steel and aluminum. Hakudo has introduced a water jet machine manufactured by the American company Flow.
