This is a device that performs the mixing of pigments and vehicles under specific conditions during the paint or ink formulation stage of testing.
When converting pigments into paints or inks, a vehicle (dispersing agent) is added and ground in, but there are various methods for this process. This machine is specifically designed for testing based on JIS K 5101, where a small amount of pigment and vehicle is placed between two glass plates and rotated while applying pressure with a weight to mix them. Therefore, the setting of test conditions such as load and rotation speed can be easily adjusted according to the type of sample.
