We will explain the technical basis of the "Permeable and Water-retaining Blast Furnace Slag Pavement (Color Sand)" that achieves both permeability and water retention. All of our paving materials use "water-quenched blast furnace slag" as the main aggregate. The aggregate itself has a fine porous structure, allowing it to provide both permeability and water retention. While typical permeable paving materials allow water to pass through at "points," our paving materials enable permeability across "surfaces" due to the nature of the aggregate itself, resulting in less clogging and maintaining permeability performance over a long period. Additionally, by cleaning with high-pressure washers, the permeability can be restored to about 80%.
