In the sake brewing process, rice, which is the raw material, is steamed in a kettle and transported on a conveyor while being spread out using a crusher roll, etc. However, the steamed rice tends to stick to various components, hindering smooth transportation and mixing. Moreover, the residue left on parts and equipment significantly affects quality and hygiene, necessitating thorough cleaning, which places a burden on workers. When applying a release agent simply, the hassle and cost of reapplying it after cleaning also posed challenges. Therefore, we proposed a fluororesin coating to prevent adhesion on transportation components such as the steamed rice kettle, crusher rolls, and rocker valves.
