In the field of in-vehicle camera imaging, customer demands are currently overwhelmingly focused on two quality parameters: high dynamic range combined with OECF and spatial resolution. Therefore, the recommended light sources for image quality evaluation in the automotive industry are the LE7, an illumination device for transmission charts equipped with iQ-LED (integrating sphere), or the LG3, a high-intensity flicker-free lighting device. The recommended charts are the OECF chart TE269B (measurable dynamic range of 1,000,000:1 / 120dB) or TE269C (measurable dynamic range of 5,000,000:1 / 134dB). Additionally, the reflective chart TE261 with an inclined edge of size A1066 allows for the measurement of SFR (spatial frequency response) even for cameras with a high level of geometric distortion. These quality parameters can be analyzed using the image analysis software iQ-Analyzer-X.
