For the various applications of cameras in industrial image processing, the necessary conditions for cameras change depending on the application. Image processing, which demonstrates a wide range of true capabilities, provides data to verify quality, identify parts, read codes, and optimize manufacturing processes, while also controlling machines. Recommended products for machine vision evaluation allow for testing of key quality criteria such as dynamic range, resolution, sensitivity, noise, and frame rate, including optical systems and sensors. In machine vision, lighting is usually controllable. Therefore, a normal contrast of 10,000:1 is sufficient for the OECF chart. However, since tone levels are used for automatic detection and evaluation of various elements in images, it is helpful to measure the OECF in as much detail as possible. For this reason, the iQ-LED equipped lighting device (integrating sphere) LE7 for transmission charts and the 36 gray patch chart TE269B are recommended. For color, resolution, distortion, and shading, standard charts (TE253 9x, TE230, TE251, TE255) can be analyzed using the image analysis software iQ-Analyzer-X.
