Magnetic distortion type non-contact absolute linear displacement sensor
Temposonics R Series V
A more robust sensor suitable for Industry 4.0 applications.
The Temposonics R Series V is the successor to the current fourth generation R Series, compatible and more robust than ever linear displacement sensor. The new Industry 4.0 features provide users with significant advantages by offering additional information about the process, in addition to pure process data (position/velocity). Since status and statistical data are recorded and processed during operation, it becomes possible to gain a deeper understanding of the processes involved. The R Series V is supported by the TempoLink Smart Assistant. TempoLink is optional and supports all R Series V sensors, connecting to the sensor via a power connection. By using the TempoLink Smart Assistant, detailed information about the application status, such as sensor status, internal temperature, total operating hours, and distance moved by the position magnet, can be relayed and evaluated via a USB port or wireless device.

Temposonics introduced a non-contact, high-precision, and cost-effective non-contact absolute sensor method to the market in the early 1970s, using the magnetostrictive effect (Weidmann effect) for position measurement, which had previously been dominated by incremental methods. As a leading company in magnetostrictive sensors, we are committed to improving accuracy as position sensors, engaging in research and development, and enhancing quality to meet the needs of the industrial sector. Our sensors are increasingly being adopted not only as linear sensors to replace rotary encoders, linear encoders, and potentiometers but also in various industries such as hydraulics, pneumatics, water pressure, injection molding, welding, printing, textiles, construction machinery, wind power generation, metal processing, as well as in disaster prevention sensors like landslide sensors and bridge sensors. Temposonics will continue to develop further and strive day and night to be of service as a leading company in industrial sensors.
