It is possible to optically quantify the sensual sensations felt from the appearance and texture of an object's surface, such as psychological luster, luxury, and depth!
The "GP Series" is a three-dimensional goniophotometer that can optically capture information equivalent to the resolution of the naked eye with simple operation. The "GP-5" can measure the distribution of reflected light from metals, painted surfaces, plastics, printed surfaces, paper, textiles, etc., as well as the distribution of transmitted light from glass, liquids, cellophane, and can also measure turbidity. Additionally, the "GP-700" allows independent adjustment of the incident angle and receiving angle, enabling the analysis of the intensity distribution of reflected or transmitted light when light is directed at a material, thus deriving the optical information unique to that material. It is an essential instrument for the study of optical appearance. 【Features】 ● Detects the intensity distribution of reflected or transmitted light at a detection angle of 0.1° step with digital output (three-dimensional measurement possible) ● Measurement at arbitrary wavelengths is possible with an optional interference filter device ● Easy operation as it is controlled, calculated, and output by a computer ● Capable of setting measurement conditions according to purpose with adjustable light beam aperture and receiver opening angle (fixed for GP-5 model) ● A wide variety of optical components and sample stages are available *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us. *The GP-200 model was discontinued for sale at the end of February 2022.

basic information
**Overview** All objects undergo transmission, absorption, and scattering of light. By analyzing the transmission and reflection light distribution of an object, we can understand its unique characteristics. Research on the textures and qualities that characterize the surface of an object, derived from these properties, is fundamental and extremely important for creating high-value-added products and textured items. The meanings of the terms related to texture and quality in visual evaluation vary depending on the optical properties of the observed object, and are expressed as follows: ● Paint-related: fullness, depth, glossiness, lightness, etc. ● Paper and printing-related: sharkskin feel, tactile sensation, flicker, texture, softness, etc. ● Fiber-related: texture, psychological glossiness, luxury feel, texture, etc. ● Hair-related: texture from waves, softness, glossiness, etc. ● Resin-related: transparency, milky appearance, softness, etc.

In 1947, a color research group was established in a corner of Tsukishima, Tokyo, which later became the Color Division of Japan Electronic Measuring Instruments Co., Ltd. The group focused primarily on the production of standard color samples and research and guidance on color adjustment. In November 1956, it became independent and was established as Murakami Color Technology Research Institute, Inc. Since its founding, our company has made the production of measuring instruments related to visual information processing, including "color and gloss," the production of color samples, and the promotion of color management the pillars of our business, and we have been active as a pioneer in the industry. Our market share is extremely high. We will continue to make further efforts for the development of color science and the creation of a prosperous society, and we hope to be of service to everyone.
