Angle-resolved spectroscopic color measurement system "GCMS Series"
GCMS (Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry)
It is possible to measure the basic data of BSDF (Bidirectional Scattering Distribution Function) for materials such as film, metal, paper, and fiber, as well as processed surfaces like paints!
The "GCMS series" is an angle-variable spectrophotometric color measurement system that can measure colors that change due to differences in observation angles and light incidence angles, as spatial distributions of reflected and transmitted light. The "GCMS-3B" and "GCMS-4B" accurately control the incidence and reception angles, performing spectral distribution measurements at each angle. After calibrating the equipment, simply set the sample, configure the angle ranges for incidence and reception, measurement step angles, color systems, and other measurement conditions, and it will operate fully automatically. In the case of diffuse reflection areas, a genuine double beam method that constantly compares with a reference white board ensures stable measurement values. Furthermore, it is possible to obtain data in an easily understandable radiance factor display by correcting the angular characteristics of the reflected light. The data obtained in this way can also be used for BRDF and BTDF measurements through simulation software, making it applicable for a wide range of uses, including automotive interior and exterior materials, color materials such as dyes, paints, and inks, and cosmetics. Additionally, there is the "GCMS-9B," which allows for direct measurement of cosmetics containing pearl mica, such as foundation and lipstick, on the skin. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

In 1947, a color research group was established in a corner of Tsukishima, Tokyo, which later became the Color Division of Japan Electronic Measuring Instruments Co., Ltd. The group focused primarily on the production of standard color samples and research and guidance on color adjustment. In November 1956, it became independent and was established as Murakami Color Technology Research Institute, Inc. Since its founding, our company has made the production of measuring instruments related to visual information processing, including "color and gloss," the production of color samples, and the promotion of color management the pillars of our business, and we have been active as a pioneer in the industry. Our market share is extremely high. We will continue to make further efforts for the development of color science and the creation of a prosperous society, and we hope to be of service to everyone.
