Coating technology problem-solving examples: *slip resistance, lubricity, wear resistance, sliding properties*
Improving release properties from machine parts and molds! Surface coating with excellent wear resistance.
The "Protonics System Processing NPW" is a functional coating made from a ternary alloy of Ni, P, and W, featuring the highest level of lubricity (dynamic friction coefficient: 0.045) and excellent wear resistance derived from its high hardness. 【Features】 ■ Excellent non-stick properties due to low friction coefficient (dynamic friction coefficient: 0.045) ■ High hardness and low friction coefficient, proven performance in various sliding components ■ Superior uniform deposition of the coating, capable of processing complex shapes ■ Excellent corrosion resistance, particularly suitable for use in chlorine corrosive environments 【For customers like these!】 ◎ Struggling with poor sliding… ◎ Wanting to avoid using lubricants… ◎ Having issues with parts wearing down… ◎ Wanting to make movements smoother… ◎ Wanting to harden surfaces…

basic information
Mechanical parts may experience a decrease in precision or even destruction due to the friction and wear between metals, such as metal gears and bearings. It is necessary to enhance the durability of mechanical parts by applying coatings with excellent friction properties to metal surfaces. This leads to the following benefits: - Before: For injection molding machines (PBT glass-filled), TIN-treated products were used, but fluidity was poor, requiring weekly regular cleaning. → After: By also treating the inner surface of the nozzle, the discharge amount has stabilized, and it has been operating for 7 months without maintenance! - Before: In automotive sliding parts, conventional chrome plating was used, but due to environmental regulations, it became urgent to switch to alternative technologies with superior wear resistance and sliding properties. → After: Durability and sliding properties have dramatically improved, boasting a processing record of over 1 million units to date. As shown above, this leads to reduced maintenance and increased processing capacity, providing significant benefits. You can view detailed specifications and more by downloading the catalog. [Efforts Toward Environmental Measures] In recent years, global environmental regulations have been imposed on various industrial products and manufacturing processes. Regulations such as the "PRTR Law," "RoHS Directive," "PFOS," and "REACH" have increasingly constrained traditional manufacturing due to the restrictions on the use and discharge of environmentally harmful substances. The Protronics Group has not only complied with these regulations but has also proactively addressed these issues and advanced development from an early stage. We have conducted early investigations into the restrictions on the use of relevant substances in recent environmental regulations and have been engaged in research on alternatives or the elimination of such substances. As part of our environmental efforts, we have newly introduced "wastewater treatment facilities" (operational since October 2007) to not only meet discharge regulations from factories but also to aim for the discharge of as clean "water" as possible.
