About Insulation and Heat Shielding Materials: 'Reflectix'

Insulation materials such as glass wool and urethane are not materials that cut off heat, but rather heat storage materials that accumulate heat. They are also heat propagation delay materials that slow down heat conduction. Therefore, they are materials that store heat when exposed to electromagnetic waves (radiant heat) such as ultraviolet and infrared rays. In winter, they accumulate heat (heat transfer occurs), but in summer, they can have the opposite effect. The most common form of heat transfer is not conduction, but rather radiation, which accounts for about 70% of heat movement. Insulation materials directly absorb and store this radiant heat (electromagnetic waves). Since buildings have been constructed with insulation materials, the cost of electricity for cooling the heat becomes extremely high.
