The "Shell & Tube Heat Exchanger" is a type of heat exchanger that arranges numerous steel tubes within a cylinder and passes heat source gas through these tubes. Baffle plates are provided to ensure that the preheated gas flows directly into the tubes. It is possible to prevent dust accumulation by passing considerably dusty gas (e.g., from sewage sludge treatment facilities) at high speed through the steel tubes.
