"What is a needle loom?" A needle loom is a machine that threads weft yarn through a metal fixture called a needle, moves the opening of the warp yarn, which is divided up and down by a heddle, horizontally, and catches the weft yarn with a knitting needle called a beater needle before returning to its original position. This process is repeated to weave the fabric. It can weave at a higher speed than shuttle looms, and by increasing the number of needles (such as double carry or triple carry), it is possible to produce narrow-width textile fabrics that cannot be made with a single carry.
