By wearing an HMD and operating the handle controller, participants can actually become forklift operators and experience contact accidents, providing education aimed at accident prevention. There has been a background where safety education mainly consists of classroom learning, which has not significantly contributed to the reduction of workplace accidents. Various safety training using VR has been developed primarily by large companies, but particularly in the case of forklifts, which have a high number of units in use nationwide and are relatively easy to obtain a license for, there are not infrequent cases that can lead to serious accidents. Therefore, we developed a package version that can be used by companies of all sizes and created content that can contribute more to accident prevention. The realism of the forklift in VR enhances the sense of presence, resulting in highly immersive content.
