The explosion-proof testing device "H1E-1510-H(n)" for aircraft equipment is designed to conduct explosion-proof tests required during the development phase of aircraft equipment, in accordance with applicable standards. The explosion-proof test is performed to demonstrate that the equipment in question does not ignite surrounding explosive gases due to operation or overheating. This device has been developed, manufactured, and inspected under the supervision of a quality inspector (DER) appointed by the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) and meets U.S. standards as a Japanese manufacturer. 【Purpose】 Evaluation of explosion-proof testing for electric equipment in the aircraft field. *In the aircraft sector, there is a trend of transitioning from hydraulic to electric actuators, and a certain degree of market expansion for electric equipment is anticipated. This device has been developed, manufactured, and inspected under the supervision of the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) DER (Designated Engineering Representatives) and meets U.S. standards as a Japanese manufacturer. Therefore, it can be used not only for updating aging equipment but also for the introduction of new testing facilities. 【Achievements】 In 2018, the first unit was delivered to the aircraft system base "S-Bird" in Nagano Prefecture (Industrial Technology Research Institute within the Public Interest Incorporated Foundation Minami-Shinshu/Iida Industrial Center). Detailed information

By installing a large silencer, the impact from detonation during an explosion that may occur if the test specimen is defective is mitigated, allowing for quiet operation even in the event of a test failure. Additionally, without a silencer, installation would be limited to outdoor settings due to the impact, but this device enables indoor installation by incorporating a silencer.
The test specimen is set up in the main chamber, and explosive gas is introduced under the required conditions (temperature, altitude, etc.). The specimen is operated in an environment with explosive gas, and it is confirmed that there is no detonation. After that, explosive gas from the main chamber is introduced into the sub-chamber, ignited, and it is confirmed that it was indeed explosive gas. After the process is completed, all gases are automatically processed and released into the atmosphere. The equipment necessary for these operations is realized as a single unit and is programmed for automatic operation.
The main chamber and sub-chamber are composed of round clutch door-type pressure vessels that our company has been handling since 1955 and continues to sell nationwide as core technology. Utilizing the control technology developed through the manufacturing of mushroom high-pressure sterilizers and autoclaves, we provide an automatic control function that conducts the entire process of explosion-proof testing in automatic operation.
