Moreover, when comparing the weight per unit area, it is significantly lighter than traditional sound barriers. Even if bulk materials have the same mass per unit area as CISILENT, their sound insulation effect is inferior. This is because their high rigidity causes sound to hit the surface and diffuse again. In contrast, the flexible CISILENT exhibits sound insulation effects proportional to its mass.
