I will provide a detailed explanation of the technical information regarding the integrating sphere.
LED chips, LED arrays, LED lighting, backlights, displays, etc. Almost all light sources have varying brightness depending on the direction of observation. The solution to this problem is the "integrating sphere." The inner walls are coated with a high reflectivity and excellent diffusivity. When a light source is placed at the center of the integrating sphere, the light emitted from the source hits the inner walls and undergoes diffuse reflection. The light then hits the inner walls of the integrating sphere again and continues to diffuse and reflect repeatedly. Inside the integrating sphere, the light is mixed, and even light that originally had different brightness depending on the observation direction becomes almost uniformly bright. As diffuse reflection coating materials, Labsphere offers four types: Spectraflect, PermaFlect, Spectralon, and InfraGold. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*

basic information
【Coating Materials】 ■ SpectraReflect [300nm–1300nm] - A coating material commonly used made of barium sulfate, which is cost-effective. - It can be used for a wide range of applications, from small integrating spheres to large integrating spheres with an inner diameter of 3 meters. ■ PermaReflect [350nm–1200nm] - A water-resistant diffuse reflection coating material that can be cleaned. - It shows almost the same reflection characteristics as SpectraReflect, but is only available for custom integrating spheres and diffusers. ■ Spectralon [250nm–2500nm] - Made by compressing and baking a powder of thermoplastic resin. - Originally proposed by NIST, it is now widely used as a standard reflection panel. - It has a wide usable wavelength range and excellent durability. ■ InfraGold [1μm–20μm] - A frosted surface coated with gold, used for measurements in the infrared region. - It is used as an attenuator when monitoring carbon dioxide lasers and in Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy measurements. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
