This is a wavelength plate made from single crystal quartz. It is used to introduce a phase difference between two orthogonal polarization components and to change the state of the incident polarization. There are λ/2 plates and λ/4 plates; the λ/2 plate shifts the phase difference by λ/2 (180°), rotating the incident linear polarization. The λ/4 plate shifts the phase difference by λ/4 (90°) and is used to convert linear polarization into circular polarization. - Compatible with high-power lasers - Wavelength range: 257 to 1064 nm
