Application for rapidly measuring the acid value of lubricating oil using near-infrared spectroscopy (NIR) along with kinematic viscosity and moisture【Oil & Petrochemicals】.
Using visible-near infrared (Vis-NIR) spectroscopy, we determined several chemical and physical parameters in lubricating oil, including acid value (AN), kinematic viscosity at 40°C, moisture content, and color. This application note presents an example of how these parameters were measured quickly and simultaneously using Metrohm's near-infrared analyzer (Vis-NIRS).
