A mechanism has been developed that sends a signal when the grip of the air riveter is firmly held.
This is an introduction to a case study on tool development for preventing work omissions (Poka-Yoke) through IoT using industry-leading electric tools. A customer from an automotive parts assembly factory reported that instances of forgetting to secure rivets in automotive parts were frequently discovered after shipment. They requested a Poka-Yoke solution for the air riveter used in the assembly process to prevent this oversight, and we made it happen. 【Details】 - Our Poka-Yoke transmitter was installed on the air riveter being used by the customer. - To detect when the grip of the air riveter is held, we designed a sensing mechanism using a small limit switch from the movable part of the mechanism. - We developed a system that sends a signal when the grip of the air riveter is firmly held. - This solution successfully prevents forgetting to secure rivets with the air riveter used by the customer. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
