Poka-Yoke Wireless Unit HCP-2403T-MD

It is possible to create poka-yoke devices that can be globally compatible without wireless circuit design!

The HCP-2403T-MD is a wireless unit that can communicate with the TW-800 series error-proofing receivers. It comes standard with a pairing switch, LED monitor, antenna, and communication interface for external devices, allowing for the construction of error-proofing equipment without the need for wireless circuit design by integrating it into power tools, jigs, and equipment. Since there is no need for development related to wireless technology, it significantly reduces development man-hours while achieving stable wireless communication. Additionally, due to its unique communication protocol, there are no licensing fees or annual costs, making it suitable for small-scale starts. Furthermore, it allows for the wireless transmission of arbitrary data through simple command sending via UART, enabling the transmission of information from power tools, jigs, and equipment to higher-level PLCs or PCs. [Poka-Yoke Example] Prevention of Half-Locking of Connectors

Achieves half-lock prevention between connectors connected to the wire harness.

We received a request from an automotive parts manufacturer stating, "We want to prevent unlatched (half-locked) conditions during the wire harness connector mating process." In response to our customer's request, we developed a dedicated tool (hereinafter referred to as "Connector Mating Checker") to confirm that the connectors connected to the wire harness used in the customer's production process are in a locked state. By equipping the Connector Mating Checker with the mistake-proofing transmitter TW-800T, we created a system that "wirelessly transmits work performance when it is confirmed that the connectors are in a locked state." 【Mechanical Design】 (1) Wireless transmission occurs only when the connectors are in a locked state. (2) The design allows operators to easily perform confirmation tasks (achieving a size that fits in hand). (3) Confirmation tasks can be performed on connectors located in narrow spaces. A customized case where the robot stops when the chin strap of the supervisor's or worker's helmet comes undone.

We received a request from a transportation equipment manufacturer to create a system that meets the following two objectives for ensuring labor safety compliance in robot welding operations: (1) Establishing a mechanism to prevent unsafe actions (emergency stop) through a two-person operation involving a supervisor (outside the robot operating area) and an operator (inside the robot operating area). By replacing the detection part with our poka-yoke tool, we have achieved a wireless poka-yoke system. - Retrieving marking pens: We developed a compact dedicated holder modified from the Check Pen S that can be attached to a lifter positioned near the operator. When the marking pen is returned to the compact dedicated holder, it triggers a wireless transmission. - Retrieving screws and parts from the parts box: We changed the photoelectric sensor to a flexible rod-type switch, and the signal from the flexible rod-type switch is input to a compact transmitter TW-850T mounted on the parts box.
