It is a joining technology that can achieve weight reduction through the use of different materials while utilizing the existing welding line.
Conventional joining technologies, such as resistance spot welding, cannot be used for modern multi-material vehicle bodies because the materials are either thermally incompatible or restricted. To meet these requirements, Berhof developed the WELTAC technology. This technology enables multi-material joining on existing welding lines, expanding design and engineering freedom. Additionally, in automation systems, it is developed based on our already established SPR (Rivset) technology, so you can use it with confidence. [Features] - Enables spot welding of dissimilar materials. - Usable for aluminum and cast materials ranging from 0.8 to 3.2 mm. - Capable of joining 2 to 4 sheets. - Compatible with the use of adhesives.
