Melamine foam (Basotect foam)

basic information

1) Lightweight… very lightweight with a density of 6 to 9 kg/m3. 2) Flame retardant… passes UL94 V-0 and HF-1 standards for thicknesses of 3mm or more (Basotect G, G+, TG, UF). Passes A-A style 40mm flame retardant standard for railway vehicle materials (Basotect G). Passes FMVSS302 (Basotect G). 3) Thermal insulation and sound absorption… has thermal insulation and sound absorption properties due to its fine cellular structure. 4) Heat resistance… maximum temperature of 240°C, safe operating temperature of 150°C. 5) Water absorption… has excellent water absorption due to its fine cellular structure and capillary action. There is also a water-repellent grade available due to special processing.
