This is a plastic molding die steel developed for design surfaces requiring high mirror finish, such as car windows (transparent) and TV frames. Thanks to our unique precipitation control technology, it maintains machinability equivalent to conventional steel while providing high toughness, as well as excellent rust resistance and polishability (high mirror finish). The hardness is almost uniform from the surface to the center, making it a pre-hardened type that can be used as is. The enhancement of toughness has also improved reliability against high cycle heat and cool processes.
