We would like to introduce a case study of equipment improvements for tank cleaning machines that guarantee high-level cleaning performance at breweries. The horizontal fermentation tanks at the brewery had been in use for many years. After a thorough examination of the existing CIP method, we replaced the previously used rotating spray head with the rotating jet head technology "Alfa Laval GJ PF FT." It became clear that not only significant savings could be achieved, but also substantial operational and business benefits. Specifically, by switching to the rotating jet head technology, we reduced downtime, shortened the time required for the cleaning cycle, optimized CIP effectiveness, and further reduced water consumption, minimizing the use of CIP chemicals as well.
