Ground-based 3D laser measurement devices for i-construction, structural inspection and renovation, and plant maintenance management.
The laser emitted from a scanner, also known as a TLS (Terrestrial Laser Scanner), is used to obtain three-dimensional point cloud data (a collection of three-dimensional points) of the measurement target. It can acquire a large amount of point data in a non-contact, non-prism manner, and each point in the point cloud is assigned three-dimensional coordinate values (X, Y, Z), color (R, G, B), and the reflectivity of the laser from the measurement target. Measurements that would take about a week with a Total Station (TS) can be completed in just a few minutes with TLS.

Detailed information
-
The use of technology is expanding in the context of understanding the current state of social infrastructure such as aging tunnels, bridges, and dams, which require urgent maintenance, inspection, and renovation. By using long-range 3D laser measurement devices, it is possible to obtain highly accurate three-dimensional point cloud data of entire bridges from measurements taken at levees, even for large bridges and dams that are difficult to approach.
