[Free Sample Available] Reduce friction resistance with "Tef-Lock" to prevent product scratches!
We would like to introduce a case where we prevented scratches on cans in the canning line. We received an inquiry from a can manufacturing machine manufacturer regarding a component called a forming flap, which transports and shapes cans just before the welding process. It was reported that scratches were occurring on the steel plates due to the resistance when passing through this component. While fluorine coating could improve sliding, it was also necessary to have wear resistance because the steel plates were sliding. In response, we introduced our "Tef-Lock." This reduced the friction resistance between the component and the steel plate, preventing scratches on the steel plate. Additionally, since it has hardness equivalent to hard chrome plating, the durability of the component itself was also significantly improved, which pleased our client.

basic information
The self-lubricating chrome plating "Tef-Lock" is an unparalleled high-performance composite surface treatment technology that combines the excellent mechanical properties of hard chrome plating, such as high hardness and wear resistance, with the non-stick properties and excellent release characteristics of fluorinated resins. Since the base is chrome plating, it has a hardness of about HV850. For heat resistance, we recommend around 250°C, but there is also a heat-resistant version that can be used at higher temperature ranges. It complies with the standards for equipment and container packaging based on the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare Notification No. 370, allowing it to be used in applications where food comes into direct contact with the Tef-Lock surface. Due to the low processing temperature of about 200°C, there is almost no thermal impact on the material. Like regular chrome plating, it can be peeled off and reprocessed. It can be applied to a wide range of metal materials, including steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, copper alloys, and nickel.
