By using aluminum alloys with added transition metals, it has been confirmed that values show 1.5 to 2.0 times higher than conventional levels!
At JAMPT, we are working on utilizing a new aluminum alloy powder for metal 3D printers in new applications through additive manufacturing, based on a patent implementation agreement. The JIS AC8A alloy is well-known as a heat-resistant aluminum alloy for casting. However, when this alloy is formed using a metal 3D printer, it does not achieve the high-temperature strength that is conventionally known. To improve this, it has been confirmed that using an alloy with added transition metals shows values 1.5 to 2.0 times higher than conventional ones. In the manufacturing process, a laser-based metal 3D printer is used, and there is no need to perform the conventional T6 treatment (510°C solution treatment ⇒ water quenching ⇒ aging). 【Chemical Composition (%)】 ■Si: 10 ■Cu: 1 ■Mg: 1 ■Ni: 1 ■Fe: 2 ■Al: bal. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

basic information
Japan Metal Additive Manufacturing (JAMPT) was established in November 2017 by partners who aspire to spread and permeate metal 3D printer technology in Japan. JAMPT is a service bureau (SB) that can provide a comprehensive service from powder development and manufacturing to prototyping and mass production, making it the first of its kind in Japan in the field of metal 3D printing. With the pioneering presence of Koiwai Co., Ltd., academic backing and technical support from Professor Akihiko Chiba of Tohoku University (Institute of Metal Materials), and the global network and information power of Sojitz Corporation as significant strengths, we will demonstrate advanced capabilities in the field of metal 3D printing. As part of a super-smart society in manufacturing, we aim to stand at the forefront of metal 3D printer technology, consider AM technology in manufacturing settings, and overcome challenges together with our customers. By doing so, we hope to provide unprecedented new products and new value chains to society and contribute to creating a prosperous society. We wish to continue holding this aspiration. "Metal 3D printer? Let's ask JAMPT." We will strive to become a company where such voices can be heard in the product development field of our customers.
