Like UV-400, it is a UV absorber that has a peak absorption in the UV-B region (around 280nm and 340nm), characteristic of triazines. RIASORB UV-1577 is suitable for various engineering plastics such as PC, PMMA, and polyester, as well as various polymer alloys like PC/ABS and m-PPE, and can also be used in transparent or translucent products. RIASORB UV-1577 has a relatively high molecular weight and excellent compatibility with resins, which means it has low volatility even when added in high concentrations to resins.
