Carbon fiber is a lightweight and high-strength material that excels in wear resistance, heat resistance, thermal conductivity, durability, and chemical resistance.
The reason why the market does not respond to conventional recycled products is that... we become too fixated on the format and start considering risks from the beginning. a. To establish CFRP recycling, it is necessary to ensure material traceability and a stable supply of waste materials. b. We will conduct demonstrations to build a system for consistent processing from carbon fiber recovery to the final product. c. I believe it is necessary to continue addressing business challenges such as building product recipes, quality control, stable supply, and evaluating business viability in collaboration with specific customers. d. I believe that developing while balancing "environmental conservation," "social benefits," and "economic advantages" is what constitutes a sustainable society. Of course, I think the above content is very important. However, before that... I believe it is more of a priority to take action and build what the market needs.

basic information
This project aims to create economic competition principles while sharing all information. To bring recycled products to the market, we believe it is necessary to build networks that go beyond individual companies and their efforts. For example, collaboration between companies within the same industry and across different industries, collaboration between companies and government, and collaboration between government and research institutions are all essential. By sharing the information, knowledge, and technology held by regions, companies, educational fields, research fields, and government, we can organically manage economic activities and their accompanying environmental impacts, making them more realistic. By connecting the recycling efforts that various people from different organizations have tackled in a siloed manner, we aim to balance the three aspects of environment, society, and economy. This is what we call "MACHO Management." Matsuoka Ceramic Raw Materials Co., Ltd. intends to primarily focus on the interface with each company and milled processing through "MACHO Management." Detailed information
-
Carbon fiber is a lightweight, high-strength material with excellent wear resistance, heat resistance, thermal conductivity, durability, and chemical resistance. Its composites with resin are expanding in demand across various fields, including aircraft and automobiles. Consequently, it is expected that there will be an increase in waste generated during the manufacturing stage, as well as waste from end products such as decommissioned aircraft that exceed their service life. From an energy perspective, producing virgin carbon fiber requires a tremendous amount of energy, making it a material with a significant environmental impact. If it becomes possible to recover and recycle carbon fiber from carbon fiber waste with less energy than the manufacturing process, it could reduce CO₂ emissions associated with carbon fiber and contribute to the prevention of global warming. In particular, if carbon fiber can be regenerated as a milled product, it can be molded into flexible non-woven fabrics by mixing with synthetic fibers. Various forms of recycled composites can be molded from these flexible non-woven fabrics.
Company information
Our company is a manufacturer and seller of ceramic raw materials with a history of over 80 years. In the vicinity of Seto City in Aichi Prefecture, the hometown of pottery, there are large deposits of high-quality silica sand, which is the main raw material for ceramics and glass. Our main business is to wash, crush, remove impurities, and sort the silica sand to meet our customers' needs. Additionally, we have successfully developed processing technology to utilize feldspar from the northeastern part of Aichi Prefecture as a raw material for glass.
