The VAD-i804A.xx.355R transmits 8 channels of composite video (NTSC/PAL/SECAM) and 4 channels of control (serial, contact) signals over a single optical fiber for long-distance transmission. - The control signals consist of 1 channel of RS232C, 2 channels of RS485, and 1 channel of contact signal. - Transmission is done between the transmitter (VAD-i804A.TC.355R) and the receiver (VAD-i804A.RC.355R). - The transmission distance is up to 20 km for single mode and up to 2 km for multi-mode. - The video signal is sampled at an uncompressed 10-bit 27MHz with minimal degradation. - The optical fiber is not affected by noise from other devices or cables. - The optical fiber does not generate noise such as electromagnetic waves. - Ground loops that can cause video noise do not occur. - It operates on DC 9-12V (power adapter included). - When installing multiple units, a separately sold 19-inch rack mount chassis (VAD-RACK-SD-4U) can be used to install up to 8 units together. *This product does not support AHD / HD-TVI / HDCVI (analog HD) video signals.
