The VAD-SD002A.L1.xxx.55 transmits two-channel bidirectional control (serial) signals over a single optical fiber for long-distance transmission. - Transmission is done between the transmitter (VAD-SD002A.L1.TRC.55) and the receiver (VAD-SD002A.L1.RTC.55). - It can transmit up to 20 km with single-mode optical fiber and up to 3 km with multi-mode optical fiber. - The serial signal is RS485 or RS422. - RS485 supports half-duplex communication. - The status display LED indicates the device's status. - Compact box type saves installation space. - EMI and RFI protection. - With the separately sold VAD-4CC-TC/RC, it is also possible to transmit four-channel contact signals (using one serial communication channel). - When installing multiple units, a separately sold 19-inch rack mount chassis can be used to install up to 16 units together.
