Oshin's IH-compatible processing began with the adaptation of aluminum pots and steak plates that could not be used on IH stoves. In 1991, we received a request for IH processing of "donabe" (Japanese clay pots) for restaurants, and we thought that using carbon, which had not been used before as a heating element, could meet this demand. This is how the development of our IH donabe started. At that time, there were no factories or specialized machines for processing ceramics or carbon, which we needed. Therefore, we began with research and development, including the selection of processing machines and the development of tools.
