The ATI automotive Ethernet adapter is a bidirectional physical layer media converter that converts between standard 100Base-T Ethernet and 100Base-T1 automotive Ethernet. The AE-1000 adds the capability to convert between 1000Base-T1 (OPEN Alliance BroadR-Reach (OABR) compatible) automotive Ethernet and standard 1000Base-T Ethernet by selecting with a switch. Both the AE-100 and AE-1000 can connect to standard Ethernet devices without the need for configuration software.
