At Misumi, we sought solutions to ensure that call centers, where remote work is difficult due to the nature of the job, can avoid close contact. We introduce the social distance wall, a product born from Misumi's unique "inspiration." ■ Maximum consideration for droplets from above and the sides To completely cover the droplets from seated employees, the wall is designed to be 60mm high, and to protect against droplets from adjacent seats, it extends 150mm beyond the desk depth of 640mm. *For a seated male of 170cm height, the distance from the desk to the top of the head is typically 50cm, but Misumi provides an additional 10cm for a total of 60cm. Unlike acrylic panels, the PET resin panels can be disinfected with alcohol. *Acrylic panels cannot be disinfected with alcohol as they can break. ■ Easy disinfection of the wall itself The wall is made from PET resin panels. These panels have the characteristic of expanding 0.65mm for every 10°C increase in temperature over 1m. The aluminum frame that holds the panels has play to allow for movement, and the wall is secured with panel clamps designed to absorb the expansion of the PET resin panels due to temperature increases.

(Placing weights makes stable fixing easy.) The bottom is fixed with soft cushions to a flat aluminum frame, making installation and movement simple! The flat black aluminum frame at the bottom is unique to Misumi. Since it is self-supporting, this product can be easily transported and set up in a regular meeting space to prevent splashes!
