The recent acceleration of stamping speeds is remarkable, and conventional cemented carbides have limitations in wear resistance, necessitating frequent regrinding of cutting edges, which has become a significant bottleneck in the efficiency of high-speed press production. The "NPZ-28" achieves approximately twice the lifespan of the company's ultra-fine particle cemented carbide FN30 before regrinding. Additionally, since "NPZ-28" is a ceramic and does not contain a metallic binder phase like cemented carbide, it has less adhesion to the workpiece, and the grinding allowance during regrinding is about one-fifth that of cemented carbide, resulting in an almost fivefold improvement in the lifespan of the mold parts themselves.
