This product was developed for optogenetics, but it can also be used for general purposes such as the delivery of various light sources including LED light sources, laser light sources, and halogen light sources. For optogenetics applications, it is used to connect LED light sources/laser light sources to single-core optical fiber cannulas. Ideally, the same specifications should be used from the light source to the optical fiber cannula. The standard product has a tube diameter of 900um, but in some biological cases, it may be bitten off. In such cases, a lightweight metal coating is recommended.
