We have released a novel n-type organic semiconductor.
At Tokyo Chemical Industry, we have prepared low molecular weight n-type organic semiconductors TU-1 and TU-3 [T3924], which have high electron mobility. TU-1 is mainly suitable for vacuum deposition processes, while TU-3 is suitable for coating processes, allowing for use according to application. These organic semiconductors were developed by the group of Tokunaga et al., and applications for high-performance complementary transistor circuits using combinations with p-type semiconductors have also been reported. We have also fabricated organic field-effect transistor (OFET) devices using TU-1 and TU-3 with vacuum deposition and spin-coating methods, respectively, achieving electron mobilities exceeding 1 cm²/Vs in both cases.
